<P>Let me give you my two cents worth:</P>
<P>"A lot of" is nomarlly used in 'Informal writing'. </P>
<P>Dead is an adjective. It should therefore be used in front of a "noun". </P>
<P>For exampe, we say that there are "many dead people"; not "people dead".  "People dead" sounds like Singlish to me.  (I used to say that when i am young) </P>
<P>Anyone who wants to improve their grammar can contact me. I am currently giving tuition. </P>
