PR: gross or basic salary?

<P>Our company gives me S$2300 basic salary + fixed monthly S$300 engineer appointment allowance (职位<FONT color=#000000>津贴). And also other allowance like transport allowance (variable) and OT pay. I tried to ask company HR to put 2300+300=2600 in the letter to ICA. But they insist to seperate them although appointment allowance is also fixed monthly.</FONT>
<P>In this case, is it ok applying PR for my wife? Will there be any trouble at ICA there?

<P>很多人容易把人力部关于申请EP的基本月薪最低要求（新元2，500以上），和移民厅申请PR的基本月薪的2千新元混淆在一起。否则基本月薪的底线定在2，500新元，那么持有SP的朋友就根本无法申请PR，因为SP是发给基本月薪介于1，800新元到2，500新元的外国技工。</P>
<P>实际上SP持有者，只要基本月薪超过2千新元，还是可以申请PR。</P>

<P>But it is said that the line is S$2500 not S$2000? Then how do they evaluate gross salary? Any comment on the appointment allowance?</P>
