Subject:	[WeR20s] 2-in-1: Evening Tour + Speed-Dating! (Sat, 10 Sep)

Dear Ladies & Gentlemen,

Looking at this email's subject title, one must be wondering how can these 2 activities so different in features take place at the same time?? Yes, it can be done, because we are going to have speed-dating (in the coach!) while going around Singapore as part of the sight-seeing tour!

Places that we can go are: Wheatgrass farm, Arowana (Dragon fish) farm, Sembawang Hot Spring, Lower Seletar Reservoir (Yishun Dam), Changi Boardwalk, etc.

And that's not all. Every participant will be given a piece of paper to indicate the parties (of opposite gender) they are interested in. At the end of the session, participants may submit the paper to the organiser who will compile the results & pass on (privately of course) the names of those who have selected one another.

This event is for the eligible singles only.

Event: 2-in-1: Evening Tour + Speed-Dating!

Date: 10 Sep 2005 (Saturday)

Meeting Time: 3:00pm

Meeting Place: Marsiling MRT station

Schedules for the day:

i) 3:00 - 3:05pm: Meet-up, taking of attendance, & board the bus. There will be a chartered bus to bring us around. Speed-dating session will be conducted.

ii) Visit the organic wheatgrass farm. Praised for its role in preventing illness, there are studies that consumption of wheatgrass juice was shown to detoxify the blood & strengthen the immune system. Wheatgrass proponents claim that this green food can bring improvements in heath, provide more energy & even aid weight loss. At this farm, visitors can also buy its products such as Wheatgrass Capsule, Wheatgrass Tea, Wheatgrass Power/Sachet, Wheatgrass Jelly, etc.

iii) Visit the Arowana (Dragon fish) farm. Here you will see lots these very-expensive Dragon fish - big & small ones.

iv) Proceed to the Sembawang Hot Spring. Hard to believe that there is hot spring in Singapore? Well, come & see it yourself! Continue with speed-dating session while going to next destination.

v) Dinner. Will be going to a place with good sceneries & affordable prices.

vi) Proceed to Lower Seletar Reservoir (Yishun Dam) for sight-seeing. This is quite a nice place for a refreshing & romantic stroll. Note: We will be going here only if time permits.

vii) Proceed to Changi Boardwalk for a romantic stroll. In earlier events, we completed the Left-Half of the Boardwalk (Kelong Walk & Sunset Walk). This time, we are going for the Right-Half (Cliff Walk & Sailing Point Walk), which in my opinion has a more romantic atmosphere than the Left-Half.

viii) End of activity. The bus will be stopping at Dhoby Ghuat MRT, at around 10pm. For those not in hurry to go back, can join us for coffee or drinks nearby.

How is the speed-dating session like & how long will it be:

During the session, each pair of participants will be given about 4 mins to chat. Then the gentleman moves to meet the lady at the next seat. This is going to be a complete (or almost complete) speed-dating session meaning that everyone will get to interact with all (or almost all) parties of the opposite gender. The entire session should ends at around dinner time or before we reach the last sight-seeing destination.

Cost: $10 only. Price includes bus tour, speed-dating sessions, light snacks, & drinks. Payment is non-refundable, but you can find a replacement who is single.

Method of pre-payment: Either by fund-transfer or by cheque. Please see below for procedures. Cash payment on-the-actual-day is not applicable.

Registration Closing Date: Anytime, once we reach the maximum headcount.

Step 1:

** Please include the Name, Gender, Contact no. & Email address of your friends too.

** A contact list (with Names & Email addresses) will be given, but only to those who did a proper registration & attended the event.

** If you or your friends like to exclude the email address in the contact list, please highlight it to me.

Step 2:

A) Fund-transfer via ATM machine, or Internet Banking

- Do a fund-transfer to this POSB Saving account: 068-37945-8

or to this UOB account: 138-376-443-8

- Once it was done, Email or SMS me with the following details:

i) your Name

ii) the transaction date

iii) the amount you transfer to me

iv) If paying for someone else, please include the Names & Contacts of the person you are paying for

** If the fund-transfer was done using ATM machine, kindly retain the transaction receipt for verification purpose.

B) Prepare a cheque, crossed it & mail it to the following address:

- The cheque is to be made payable to my full name as indicated above. Please do not issue any post-dated cheque.

- If sending cheque, please drop it into the Postbox latest by 5 Sep (Monday), 4pm.

- Remember to indicate your Name & Contact no. behind the cheque. If paying for your friends, please include their details too.

** Your registration will be effective only after i received the valid payment (by fund-transfer or cheque). It's on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Please Note:

As mentioned, this event is open to eligible singles only. All male participants must be SDU-eligible. Please fully understand this before signing up. If not sure, please check with me first.

If i receive your payment after all vacancies are taken, there won't be a place reserved for you, but i will do a refund either by fund-transfer or by mailing back the cheque.

I repeat that the event is only for eligible singles. Also please do not bring or recommend any "ineligible participants" e.g. foreign friends/visitors, overseas colleagues, or expatriates to this event just because you think this is an economical way to show them around Singapore.
