[分享]How Often Do You Say "Darling"?

Once I was listening to the radio, the DJ told this story: 
There was a couple ever, who lived at different areas. They do not meet up often. One day, the man went to the post office, to telegraph his wife. After finishing editing the content, he noticed that he did not have enough money on hand. So the only way is to delete some words from it. He thought and thought, seemingly every word carried important information. Finally he decided to delete “darling” at the beginning, as he thought it actually meant nothing. Then he went up to the office lady: can you do me a favor? Delete this word “darling”, for I did not bring enough money for the longer version.” The office lady was so surprised, she said: NO NO NO! You must keep this word. And do you actually know how important it is to your wife? You’v gotta keep this word, I pay it for you.”
 
How much do you care for your family, friends, coworkers, or anyone you know? And how do you express it? Sometimes, action is just not enough;

Generally speaking, I say it to my beloved persons only. And I think it is so embarrassing to say it to everybody. But at my working place, people are always calling me”dear, darling, sayang(indonisia word), etc. Sigh. i know thats the way they address ppl, acceptable. anyway, still hard for me to open my mouth on it
