只选择自己有利的，再说出冠冕堂皇的道理，说服人的机会不高。选择新加坡就爱新加坡，放弃中国国籍，就不要再说爱国，理由难以让人相信。如果真的爱中国为什么要放弃呢。一个国家就是一个国家，新加坡护照100多个国家免签，中国护照马来西亚也要签证，去次澳洲签证排好几次队，所以大不同。

try not to study english here, i apologized for what i just comment on the article, i was pissed off by some chinese recently...
anw,  i suggest u not hang out with chinese if u really wanna improve/upgrade yourself to another high level standard, trust me, a sense of national pride doesn't means u have to love the ppl from your motherland...
i dunno what i am typing now... but most of the chinese ppl here always let me down...shameful...disappointed...

我不否认本是同根生，我就想知道既然还爱着自己的国家为什么换国籍，我是08年抗震后来到了新加坡工作，不知道看到了地震后曾经的中国人是否想过回家救灾，哪怕就是搬一块砖也好。我从来没有想过要做别的国家的公民，虽然我迫于生计来到了新加坡赚钱。
  我也是中国人,我来新加坡已经7年了?LZ可能他找到自己在新加破活下去的勇气!我相信他不是不爱中国?新加坡买房比较便宜吗?孩子上学?

对于普通人来说国籍的更换纯属个人问题，无可厚非。。。国籍，户籍什么的，都不重要，重要的是自己是个什么样的人。
嚷嚷爱国什么的也不重要，看你做了什么

i am sorry too!when i saw your comment,i can not control my emotion!we come here  with our purpose,but at the same time we also can contribute something to singapore!some chinese are not very good,but majority are friendly!every country both have good and bad people!we also hate the bad people!the author of this article only expressed the feeling to his homecountry!do not have anything to look down the singapore and singaporen!in fact,some local people treat me very well,i think you will be very good!you only can not control you temper!thank you
