2        We would like to inform you that your application is still under consideration and you would be notified once it has been finalised.  We are unable to advice on the timeframe of your PR application outcome at this juncture.  You may wish to note that there are various stages of processing before the grant of permanent residence.  ICA carefully assesses each and every PR application on its own merits subject to our consideration.  As such, some applications may take a longer time for processing.  We would like to highlight that the grant of permanent residence is an important matter which requires intensive and careful evaluations thus processing time of permanent residence and certain processes cannot be avoided.  We seek your understanding on the matter.

3        We would like to clarify that the PR invitation letters are merely issued to foreign students to notify them of their eligibility to apply for SPR after their graduation and upon them securing employment here.  Recipients of such a letter are not automatically granted SPR status.
